Android
Make sure to enable systemless hosts in Magisk manager if you are using root method. Magisk Module users must follow the guide here.
Our services can be run both on rooted and non-rooted android devices. Just follow the installation guide to setup them properly on your android device.
The following apps are local VPN based adblockers. These will filter your internet connection locally without connecting to any server or modifying system settings.

*Download any of the apps to progress with the non-root setup guide.
In Blokada Energized Protection Blu pack is the default list. So users won't have to add any list separately. Because Blu is the mostly recommended pack to use on non-root solutions.
- Download the app and install.
- Open the app and toggle the power button.
- Choose a protection pack or extension and copy its
DOMAIN LIST
link from Github or Web. - Open the app and slide open or tap the menu bar.
- Go to
Ad blocking
>Hosts Lists
> tapAdd a new host list
- Paste the
DOMAIN LIST
link you copied earlier, in the box. - Tap
Continue
> add a name in theName
box > tapContinue
again.
- Paste the
- Now check the
Hosts Lists
, your newly added list will be visible.
- Download the app and install.
- Grant storage permission and permit VPN Connection request.
- Setup the filter first -
- Go to
Advanced settings
>Configure filter update
and unmark those selected sources. - Change the
Category
to EnergizedProtection and mark the pack you want to use. - Now go back to main screen and tap
RESTART
button.

- If the filter doesn't reload, tap
CLOSE
>> reopen the app >> tapRELOAD FILTER
button.
- Choose a protection pack or extension and copy its
DOMAIN LIST
link from Github or Web. - Open app and go to
Advanced settings
>Configure filter update
. - Tap the edit key on right of the
<new> <new>
line.- A new
Edit filter
panel will pop up - Add the name of the pack/extension in the
Name
box. - Paste
DOMAIN LIST
link you copied earlier, in theURL
box. - Mark the
Active
box and tapok
.
- A new
- Now go back to main screen and tap
RESTART
button.
The following module/app will work with systemless hosts on Magisk-ly rooted devices. Non Magisk super users have to stick with old system hosts file method.

- Choose a protection pack or extension and copy its
HOSTS RAW
link from Github or Web. - Download the app and install.
- Open the app and choose whatever you want on the telemetry consent.
- Setup the filter first -
- Tap the menu >
Hosts sources
and uncheck the marks from default lists. - Tap the
+
icon and removehttps://
. - Now paste the
HOSTS RAW
link you copied earlier, in the box. - Now tap
Add
and go back toHome
>ENABLE AD-BLOCKING
.
- Tap the menu >
- The app will download the hosts itself and ask for a reboot*.
- If hosts update is available, on opening the app it will show up.
- Tap update to update to the latest hosts.
*If you are using the latest Magisk and systemless hosts is enabled, you won't have to reboot. Know how to enable here.
*If you are using other root method, you have to reboot everytime after applying or modifying the hosts.
