Thoughts on provenance in page descriptions
Ideally each page description would contain provenance that recorded when the description was created, by who and when.
However, there is no provenance section. This means that any provenance information attached becomes ambiguous? For example, if we use prov:generatedAtTime are we describing the time the page was generated, the time the underlying data was generated or the time at which the description was generated?
This could be solved by extending the graph to add an explicit provenance section; however, that moves away from the notion of simplicity that Schema.org and Bioschemas are trying to achieve.
One possible exception is the use of dcterms:conformsTo to state which Bischema's specification (and which version of that specification) the descriptions is trying to implement. The justification for this is that neither the underlying data nor the page itself are trying to conform to a Bioschema's specification thus the meaning is obvious? Or is it?
