The commands

pip install solida
solida -v

give the following error:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'gitdb.utils.compat'

I solved with:

pip uninstall gitdb2
pip install gitdb2==2.0.6

I guess we can bump GitPython to version 3.1.0
