The reference page, e.g.

https://plot.ly/r/reference/#scatter

is really hard to browse. It's very large, and given the redundancy of certain options it's really hard to use. For example, one might be looking for an entry "marker", but as there are many, one needs to scroll back to understand its context.

While there are mitigating strategies (the "parent" entry and the indentation grey vertical bars) what is missing is a more effective left hand side index that displays the current position along the page (scrollspy style) and a deeper level of displaying, so that the individual entries can be found at a glance within the context of its containing scope.
