Files in local repository showing as untracked

Hello,

Not sure if this is a bug or just me not knowing where in the UI to look for this item.
I'm running MGIT on a Pixel 6a with Android 14.

I consistently have issues where a file that was created in my local repository folder is showing in the MGit interface as "untracked." Using the "Add All to Stage" button in the interface doesn't seem to affect these files; how do I get them to be staged and so that I can commit and push them?

Sorry if this is a silly question; if you can explain it to me I can write up some documentation to add to the Readme in case future users have this question.
