jupyterlab extension installed, but does not appear

thanks for the nice extension

the extension button does not show up in the toolbar, despite being installed from the PYPI MANAGER

I see this message, from jupyter labextension list , which might be the cause:

The following source extensions are overshadowed by older prebuilt extensions:
    nbdime-jupyterlab
