Hardware acceleration apple m2

I cant seem to get gpu decoding to work on the latest version of agent dvr. No matter what encoding/decoding settings i use, it still don't use the gpu for anything. I can't get ispy to recognize the vlc path either.

I'm using a macmini m2 latest os. Is the hardware acceleration expected to work on m2 chips? I can't seem to find much information on the topic.
