I would like to have the ability to reward repo contributors with an additional role on the Discord server.

That is a great idea. If I have time I'll try to think of a way this could be implemented...
If you already have an idea on how to do it PRs are welcome!

I think it could be done in a similar way to the star checking, using the API endpoint described here: https://docs.github.com/de/rest/repos/repos?apiVersion=2022-11-28#list-repository-contributors
