übersicht not starting up on sonoma, the little u icon isn't in the menu bar

I downloaded übersicht and gave it the permissions it wanted. When I start the application, nothing happens, and no little u appears in the top mac menu bar.

Edit: Resolved, although unsure why. An hour later I've changed nothing, but the icon has appeared in the menu bar.

Also without any further action on my part, the logo has disappeared from the menu bar again
