express, mongoDB tutorial is outdated #26
Comments
Yeah, I'm not sure what to do about the outdated articles. This one isn't written by me, and I certainly don't have the time to keep it up to date since I don't use express or mongodb. I did add meta information to all the articles showing how up to date they are on the right. You can contact Ciaran to see if he can update the article. I don't think he gets issues to this repo. |
Yeah, it's mine, but I just don't have the time right now to go back through it and re-do it all :(. Frustratingly several the people have already done this, but didn't do it as forks to apply back here :( It is on my list of things to revisit, but it's a long list !! The current 'up to date' information is the best available approach currently IMHO, as there are people who still seem to get something useful out of the article as is, from time to time :( |
Ciaran, are there any forks/patches I should pull in? |
No sadly not, that's te issue, they got done in separate blogs iirc :( based-ons etc.. |
Pull request now submitted.... |
Perhaps we just need to add a "This article is outdated; see Express Guide and mongoose" or some such message on top of it?
