I figured out back in 2020, there used to be AppStream metadata provided in /ressources. Could you elaborate why it was removed ?
It seems like nowadays there is AppStream metadata for the Yubico Authenticator maintained in downstream on the Flathub listing. That's sadly pretty hard to use for packaging in distributions since Flathub's release branching more or less forces distributions to vendor a particular downstream version rather than getting the appropriate version per release. I would highly prefer to simply have a dedicated metadata version per release located here in the upstream repository.

Hi, thanks for reporting this issue. I believe the file was removed when we transitioned to the Flutter framework (app version 6.0.0). I'll address this as soon as possible.
I've added the missing Uppstream metadata file to the main branch, and it's now updated to the current release. Please let me know if there's anything that can be improved.
While packaging the Flutter Yubico Authenticator for Alpine, I figured this repository lacks AppStream Upstream metadata.
