Nomenclature status field

For reference, the nomenclaturalStatus DwC term is defined as, "The status related to the original publication of the name and its conformance to the relevant rules of nomenclature. It is based essentially on an algorithm according to the business rules of the code. It requires no taxonomic opinion.".

Adding this new field/term requires:

1. A new addition to the editor
2. Adjustment to the export
3. A new presentation element on taxon pages

Does addition to the editor require validation or use of a controlled list / drop-down menu?

I agree with you that this element requires the adjustments you indicate.

With respect to a drop-down menu, it would be useful. I have only used three terms in all the possibilities, so far:
nom. illeg. [ illegitimate including all different variations thereof]
nom. inval. [invalid including all variants]
nom. rej. [rejected]

I have entered these in the � Auteur � field so far. This means that they have been attached to names of authors, not to the name of a particular taxon, though the author name in question is obviously also related.

Will it be possible to remove the status elements from the author field and transfer them to the proper taxon � fiche � in the database? I foresee some complications here.

I can also do it by hand, but I cannot see how I would catch all instances� and how long it would take.
